$5,000. In futures we can trade micro e minis futures (much lower margin required). Since futures risk is based on stop loss placement, we can keep the risk between our liking of 2-4% risk per trade easily. Therefore, futures trading requires less capital then options. Same applies for Forex.
For options we send out alerts anytime between 9:30am ET to 4:15pm ET Monday through Friday. Forex and futures alerts can be sent out 24 hours a day, 5 days a week!

PDT is pattern day trading rule. Pattern day trader is a FINRA designation for stock market trader who executes 4 or more day trades within 5 business days in a margin account. In lamen terms – if you make more then round trip day trades in under 5 days and have less then $25,000 in your account, your broker will flag your account and you will not be able to open new trades.
Easy fix to get around this! Change your margin account to a cash account only.
